2. General Conduct & Professional Standards

  • All crew members must conduct themselves with the highest level of professionalism, courtesy, and discretion.

  • Confidentiality is strictly enforced; guest identities, conversations, and personal information must never be shared outside the yacht.

  • Smoking, alcohol consumption, or inappropriate behavior by crew while on duty is strictly prohibited.

  • All staff must follow grooming standards and wear designated uniforms while on charter.

3. Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Guests are to be greeted warmly and treated with the utmost respect.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • All charters must comply with international maritime laws, flag-state regulations, and local port requirements.

  • Safety briefings must be provided to all guests before departure.

  • Life jackets, fire equipment, and emergency procedures must be maintained, accessible, and demonstrated when necessary.

  • The captain holds full authority regarding safety decisions at sea. Guests must respect and follow all captain’s instructions.

  • No illegal substances, firearms, or hazardous materials are permitted onboard.

5. Booking & Payment Policy

  • A signed charter agreement and deposit are required to secure a booking.

  • Full payment must be received by the agreed-upon deadline before embarkation.

  • Accepted payments include wire transfer, approved credit card, or certified company invoice.

  • Any outstanding balances must be settled prior to departure.

6. Cancellation & Refunds

  • Cancellations made 60+ days before the charter will be refunded, minus administrative fees.

  • Cancellations made 30–59 days before embarkation will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

  • Cancellations made less than 30 days before embarkation are non-refundable.

  • In the event of severe weather, mechanical issues, or safety concerns, CAPTAIN JUAN YACHTS reserves the right to reschedule or provide a suitable alternative yacht.

7. Damage & Liability

  • Guests are responsible for any damage to the yacht, furnishings, or equipment caused by negligence or misconduct.

  • The company will collect the cost of repairs or replacements directly from the charterer.

  • CAPTAIN JUAN YACHTS is not liable for injuries, accidents, or loss of personal belongings during a charter unless caused by proven negligence of the crew.

  • Guests are encouraged to carry private travel insurance.

8. Crew Rights & Responsibilities

  • The captain has ultimate authority regarding navigation, safety, and conduct at sea.

  • Crew members have the right to refuse unsafe or illegal guest requests.

  • All crew are entitled to a safe working environment, respect, and adequate rest as required by maritime law.

  • Harassment, verbal abuse, or physical misconduct toward crew members will not be tolerated and may result in early termination of the charter without refund.

9. Alcohol & Substance Policy

  • Alcohol is permitted in moderation for guests; excessive intoxication is discouraged.

  • Illegal drugs, unauthorized substances, or unsafe behavior will result in immediate termination of the charter without refund.

  • Crew consumption of alcohol during charters is strictly forbidden.

10. Confidentiality & Privacy

  • CAPTAIN JUAN YACHTS respects the privacy of all guests.

  • Crew and staff must never disclose guest names, itineraries, or private matters.

  • Photography by crew is prohibited unless expressly authorized by the guest.

11. Insurance & Legal Compliance

  • All yachts under CAPTAIN JUAN YACHTS maintain full insurance coverage, including liability, vessel damage, and crew coverage.

  • Guests are encouraged to carry personal travel insurance for medical, evacuation, and trip cancellations.

  • All operations comply with maritime law, U.S. Coast Guard standards, and international flag regulations.

12. Environmental Responsibility

CAPTAIN JUAN YACHTS is committed to protecting marine ecosystems.

  • Waste disposal must follow maritime environmental regulations.

  • Plastic reduction, recycling, and eco-friendly practices are mandatory onboard.

  • Anchoring in protected coral or environmentally sensitive areas is prohibited.

  • Fuel efficiency and sustainable cruising practices are to be followed whenever possible.

13. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes arising between the client and CAPTAIN JUAN YACHTS will first be addressed through mediation.

  • If unresolved, disputes will follow the jurisdiction outlined in the signed charter agreement.

  • Legal jurisdiction for contracts is Miami, Florida, unless otherwise agreed.
